Kirsty's Magic Carpet Ride

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Kirsty shampooed the carpets at home last weekend. While I was busy selling booze, she was knee deep trying to erase four years of gunk from the floor. That was after moving most of the furniture. Tiring as my day was, it was nothing compared to her's.

Apparently, it took three or four cleans to persuade our carpet to go back to its natural, less grimy character. The Hire Centre person told us that we'd probably only use two thirds of a large bottle of cleaning solution. It finished up being double that.

Sunday was spent at my cousin Marian's with herself and Shelagh. Sadly, Shelagh's mum died a few days ago. Naturally, a toast was in order. Non vintage Bollinger was just the thing. Classy, precise powerful and elegeant. Nice if you can get it.

Congrats to Beth and Andy T. They now have a daughter called Ellie Hannah.
