One definition of wisdom is seeing the connection between things (Genet I think). Let's look at the current life situation.
Teacher training did not work out because I couldn't keep up with the marking and almost had a nervous breakdown. The so-called "gift" of dyspraxia was the main problem there.
These days I work as a learning support person for young people with special educational needs. This is fine most of the time, but sometimes I find myself helping people who don't want to be helped and resent me being there. By midweek I'm down. By Friday it's midnight at the Cafe Depresso.
My applications for other jobs haven't entirely successful yet. Two interviews thus far. Two rejections but with useful feedback. The fight continues.
Waitrose have come up trumps in their Balham store. They're carrying an Australian wine from the Wirra Wirra company. The vino is called "The Dead Ringer" Cabernet Sauvignon. It used to be known as "The Angelus" and was one of the bottles that really got me into Wine. It's top stuff made from both rich Mclaren Vale (warmer climate) grapes and elegeant Coonawarra fruit from pastures cooler. The Wine Society had sold out of this beauty, so Kirsty and I bought their lovely Shiraz instead. Now, thanks to the John Lewis Partnerhip, we have the best of both worlds. Hooray!
